Topics include law and social work, the mental health of older people, poverty, parenting and social exclusion, children of prisoners, residential child care and communication skills. Get yourself along to the Diabetes and Primary Care website for free access to Diabetes and Primary Care as well as the following free journals: Diabetes and Primary Care, the Diabetic Foot Journal, Diabetes Digest and Primary Care Diabetes Society. You’ll need to register with the site and then you can have lots of lovely articles, for free (did I mention that?)

Great news folks. We now have PsycBooks available for staff and students. This is a collection of 1,566 full text books and 24,161 chapters relevant to anyone interested in psychology, mental health or learning disabilities. It also includes over 800 classic books of landmark historical impact in psychology, and more than 1,500 authored entries from APA/Oxford University Press Encyclopedia of Psychology.

No travel to Peirson building, no library fines, no need to make reservations or renew. You can search for the topic you’re interested in and really widen your reading for an assignment or simply read books and chapters that are of use to you.

To access, get yourself to Resources Online (the library catalogue) and click on E-Resources. Choose your subject from the list, then select PsycBooks. And enjoy (party hat optional).
