Social care

March 26, 2007

SCIE logo

There is some useful stuff emerging relating to social care, particularly for the elderly. Feast your eyes upon:

Dignity in Care- from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), an online guide to help carers, people working in elderly care and older people themselves understand dignity in care, its importance and the implications for practice.

Social Care Bulletin – from the Department of Health, a quarterly bulletin with the latest news, case studies and initiatives aiming to help support staff in their roles. Available online via the Royal College of Nursing website.

It’s always worth keeping your eye on the SCIE website. They publish tonnes of reports, research and knowledge review on a wide range of topics from the law to learning disabilities.

Enjoy.
