The Medicines Information Project aims to help patients make better decisions about their health by encouraging better understanding of prescribed medicines and their uses. As part of the project, medicines guides are being produced on a variety of different conditions including diabetes, anxiety, cardiovascular conditions and depression. The Medicines Information Project is starting on the web but aims to expand into TV, books and leaflets to give patients information in whatever format they require. Thos project is run by a consortium including the NHS, Department of Health, DataPharm the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the MHRA and several other health care organisations.
