The NHS and the National Council for Palliative Care have published a new guide for care homes detailing how to provide end-of-life care for residents. The report is available in full via the End of Life Care website, which also contains lots of useful resources focusing on palliative care including lots of downloadable resources relating to carers, care homes, nursing, hospices and lots more. Nice little site.

The UK Clinical Research Collaboration have published a report outlining health research being carried out across the country. Looking at peer reviewed research directly funded by the eleven largest charities and governmental organisations, the report shows the types of research being carried out so as to help avoid duplication of effort and to better target grants.
